Why lenses turn yellow
Headlight lenses are polycarbonate with a factory UV coating. South Florida sun burns through that coating, and the plastic underneath oxidizes and turns cloudy and yellow.
More than a quick polish
A quick polish only hides the haze for a few weeks. We wet-sand through the oxidized layer in stages, machine-polish back to clear, and then seal the lens with a UV-protective coating. The sealing is what makes it last.
Better light, safer at night
A clear lens puts the light back on the road instead of scattering it. You see more, and oncoming drivers are not hit with diffused glare.
Cheaper than new housings
Replacement headlight assemblies on modern cars are expensive. If the lens is not cracked and there is no moisture inside, restoration gets most of that clarity back for a fraction of the price.

Questions
How long does headlight restoration last?
With a proper UV seal and the car not baking in the sun all day, results commonly last a long time. Unsealed polishing jobs often fog again within months.
Can every headlight be restored?
Haze and yellowing on the outside, yes. Cracks, or moisture and haze inside the housing, cannot be fixed by restoration.
Is a DIY headlight kit good enough?
Kits can help for a while, but most skip proper sanding stages and a durable UV seal, which is why the yellow comes back.
Can I tint my headlights after restoring them?
Yes. Restoring first gives the film a clear lens to bond to.
